This weeks Message: "The Power of Together"

You may have heard it said, “by the time I show somebody how to do something, I could have already done it myself and done it better.” If you’ve been around very long you soon realize this kind of thinking really limits your productivity and efficiency.

God’s Word teaches us that “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.” (Ecc 4:9 NLT)

If we are looking for long term results in our life, we have to settle it in our heart that we can accomplish more together than we can individually. Sure it may take a little more time at first investing in people but we will be miles ahead in the long run.

I remember I had a standard transmission pick up truck for my first car. The interior had been ravaged by a pet monkey one afternoon. (it’s a long story.) One day I left the lights on and the battery had died. So rather than jump start the truck with another vehicle I decided it would take to much time so I decided to walk. I soon found out I would have been much better off taking the time to jump the old truck than to start walking to work.

Many times that’s where we are. We find our self walking on our own rather than taking a bit of time to obtain some help because initially it will take a little time, but in the long haul, the little time will make all the difference in the world!

Just look at this what the Bible says about the power of together.

We see the people of Babble were united and God said “Nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them.” Gen 11:6 Now if God said that about them, how much more about us?

To accomplish this type of united purpose and intent it a turning loose of the “I’ll do it by myself better” attitude and embrace the “two are better than one” attitude. Sure it takes a little more initial work, understanding, and communication but the benefits are astounding!

So if your ready to become more effective and watch our big dreams come to pass we have to dedicate ourselves to make the power of together a lifestyle.
